Agreed value/insurance renewal

As mentioned re RS Fest my insurers (Peart) will not cover me for non-UK track use and I need to consider a change, (renewal due May). The consensus seems to be with Classic Line, I will give them a call. How many, if any , track days are included in their rate?

My main question is on agreed values. I always seem to be a year or two behind the pace on this one, so without wishing to stir any hype on values, where should I aim: mine has covered 59k miles, origional paint and panels, pretty much origional spec apart from a few reversable mods (cat by-pass etc), very well serviced etc and in really good 'nick, mine since 1998. (from memory its currently insured for £40k!) I really only want a sensible, fail-safe steer here, not a drawn out argument on values, I have no plans to sell/trade in against a GT3 etc.

Thanks in anticipation of any input.

Hi Ian,
If it helps my agreed value is £59k, set last year, mileage just under 50k same excellent colour! currently insured through Mannings, this year they're changing insurers which will keep the price about the same. trackday cover automatic, 3k mileage.

I have just renewed my car with Classicline. I have upped the stated value to £55k though not agreed as i have yet to get a valuation so technically at market value for now. I thought long about this and came to the conclusion that this figure was probably a minimum for me to be able to replace the car I have. I guess I can always re visit this . The renewed value put an extra £100 on the premium to £550 and brought the excess up to £1000 i did'nt shop around so have no idea if this is competitive or not ? I have been happy to stay with Classicline so far. Abbeville can be covered for extra premium apparently.
I had the car on a stated value of 43k last year which I think in the end was woefully too low and could have caused problems if i had had to make a claim.

I am with ClassicLine as well having switched from Hagerty who did not offer cover this year. My premium was about £350 on a value of £50k and annual mileage of 3k. My car has about 54,000 mls on it.

One thing to note is that I just called them to see if they would put another driver on the policy for a weekend and they refused on the basis of that person not having previous 911 experience, so if you are after that sort of flexibility then worth shopping around.

OK, so add some more flavour, Agreed value 75k, 3k /yr, just switched from Hagerty, 380 notes. Just insured a mate on the car for Abbeville for 150 pounds for both days (for both of us), and he's on the policy for the rest of the year. They did ask for a driving bio of him.
