I've lost speeds 2 & 3 on my fresh air blower. Think it'll be the earths gone, question is, do I need to replace the heater control panel & if so what kind of job is it?

Hi - thanks, just spins at top speed (3) regardless of where the slider is positioned

I have what I think is a blown motor and all the information has proved a great help just one question is the best way to remove the motor from the boot?

Hello,
I have been following this thread and if you need to get at the fresh air blower for further examination it is very easy to access. I replaced my blower motor and fan housing complete in an afternoon. First remove the carpet under the bonnet to access the bulkhead cover by the master cylinder, this bulkhead cover spans the width of the car. Remove the bulkhead cover to access the fan assembly. When removing the fan assembly mark the wire cable that attach to the levers so that thay can be easily reconnected in the same position.
Hope this helps

Many thanks both for your replies and yes very helpful. My fresh air blower started getting hot and then stopped working altogether which I suspect is the motor, I do understand that they are prone to seizing, I wanted to take it out to inspect and test but was not sure where it was actually located.
Thanks
Col
