OPC will advise you to use it all year roudn to keep the system and the rubber lubricated and working.
the minute you stick it on for the hot weather then the whole system gives up and cracks.
unless it has imploded (which mine did) then it is hard ot get by the OPC as they see it as wear n tear. also a stone may have hit the air con rad due to placing and it is not covered by that either.
if you get it replace make sure you use it all year round!!
hope this helps, DC

I had to fix mine recently and the most typical reason is the condensers that sit just in front of the rads, get hit by stones or more likely just a build up of stuff (leaves, cigerette butts, seeds). This stuff slowly corrodes the condenser till they leak and no cold air. The only way to check is to get a air-con specialist to test it and then replace them.
Replacement isn't that hard, it took me an afternoon to do.
But you will be looking at over £400 in parts!
Hope this helps

If you have the Porsche warranty, get down there and get it looked over, if its the condenser, get it replaced. If its not, then check the warranty book, cos with the exception of the pipework, the majority of the system is covered[]
