air con gas??

Hi
was just on the point of having my air con system converted from R12 to R134a changing the fittings etc. when my local air con man suggested using drop in replacement gas RS24.
Has anyone used this? Is it any good?
Apologies if this has been asked before!
cheers

Nick,

No specific experience but a quick Google reveals that there should be no problems. RS-24 is compatible with the mineral oil used with R12 (which R134a is not) and there seem to be suggestions that RS-24 is less likely to leak through the spindle seals on the compressor than R134a.

It's not something I had heard of before - I had mine converted to R134a some years ago - but it seems like it's a good idea.

Regards

Dave

BTW, Nick, Why don't I have you on the 964 Register??? e-mail me at 964@porscheclubgb.com and I'll get you sorted.
