Air con problem

Last week I could hear a small whirling sound which would stop if I switched the air con off completely. Today when I went to demist the windscreen nothing happened, although the electronics work there is no fan power. I was told it could be a condenser problem? or is it simply a fan motor problem ? Is the air con unit covered by the warranty is the big question?[:(]
 
I take it the noises you describe are inside the car, not outside, and I assume that it is the interior fan that isn't working. You could try checking fuses D6 and E7, which power the aircon unit. Other than that, there isn't much you can do without a diagnostic test.

My guess is that if the problem lies in the interior fan or climate control unit it would be covered by the warranty, but that's just a guess. Who knows these days?

I doubt very much that it would be a condenser.
