My 2005 997 C2 Tip with 106k miles has developed a problem with the air conditioing temperatures. While setting itabove 21 degrees and above the air con feels more like 18 degrees.

Have to set to temperature to max to get any heat out of the vents.

Has anyone had this problem? Any solutions?

I concur with Geoff.

Have you actually turned off the aircon? Just press the AC OFF button which should then light up.

Yes air con on. Temperature feels colder as you reduce the temperature. But does not seem to get any hotter past 20 degrees, even when set to maximum temperature

My point, Kevin, was that you should turn off the aircon:

a) To check that it can be disabled;

b) To get a more comfortable interior temperature without the need to turn up the level to maximum.

The HVAC system mixes warm and cool air to obtain the selected interior temperature and I think that the source of the problem may be that the cabin temperature sensor is malfunctioning.
