Air diverter slide to the windscreen

All,

Just noticed this this morning - the slider that diverts the air from the middle vents to the windscreen (the slider between the middle vents) isnt actually making the air come out the top of the dash.

Its shutting the middle vents fine - but the air doesnt come out of the windscreen vents?

Any ideas??

Cheers Anthony

Erm - I think so... (although you never know! - lol)

I think I had both the sliders to the right...? is that correct?

..and it didnt matter if the AC was on or off either.

thx

I only asked as the vertical slider only opens and shuts the centre vents, if you close them then all the air is sent where you've told it to go by the two normal sliders; top for the screen and bottom for your feet. It's not specially sending air to the screen on it's own, I thought, like the "demist" button does.

If you've got no air at all to the screen then I'd guess one of the linkages or servoes is gone, but I've not heard of it before.

OK great - well thanks for your help... Its due an MOT and i'm getting the G'Box oil changed at the same time all at GT One in Chertsey - so I think I may just get them to have a squint!.

Cheers
