Hi Gents,
Thinking of getting a performance Air filter, and was looking at the Evolution Motorsport Air intake system.

The manufacturers claim great things but are they real, or is it a waste of money?

Have any of you got one fitted or know anything about these, my concerns are having done a search there is very little info and i am worried if it will put the engine check light on etc..

It would be great if someone has one or had one and can give me some feedback.

Cheers in advance.

In a similar situation myself. From what I have heard and read, performance improvement is minimal but sound is better ! [:)]

Fitted a K&N performance filter to my RS2000 about20 years ago. No noticeable performance improvement, but it made a funny sucking sound!

All I'd be wary of, is that you will need to tell your insurers that you have 'modified' you car. They'd take a dim view if the worst happened and your car was found with 'performance' add-ons that they weren't aware of.

For me, that would be reason not to bother - also, if such performance gains were so easily found just by changing the air filter, you'd have to question why Porsche hadn't implemented such a cheap (£ per bhp) improvement themselves in the first place.
