Air Induction Kit ....

Des, If your airbox is undrilled and you decide to change I'll have it off you.

PLEASE don't drill it, there are loads of drilled ones around - undrilled are becoming difficult to find.

In this order,

1. Good tyres, shocks ans suspension set up
2. Shorter gear ratios (via different ring and pinion)
3. More engine power

Any recommendations leading to better performance ..... ?

Thanks Phil ... car seems to have an excellent set up and POWER from the full Tech9 work done many years ago ... was really looking at just changine the air box, which IS DRILLED with a huge chunk cut out of it like a Cup Car .... Phil did a lot of development in the early 90's on these 64RS for his own and other race teams.

I was just wondering if there was something looking sexy and maybe more efficient ....

Melv,

After much experimentation, conducted by myself and far more experienced wheelmen, I don't think it is possible to teach an old Des, new tricks!

Far safer for all concerned for him to keep modifying the car, this way it keeps it in the paint shop longer and off the roads and out of the gravel traps! [:D]

i had drilled airbox...like cheese sounded great but was down on power on track due to being able to draw in more hot air,i have standard airbox with k&n element, nicer low down torque, 272 bhp with drilled and 287 with standard,if mapped for drilled maybe be better??

ap car design do a carbon ram air for standard airbox which would make sense on track, would look good with the job you are doing on that rs
