Airbag deactivation kit fitted but light flashes

I had the air bag deactivation kit and ISOFIX mounting fitted about a year ago now. However, ever since the warning light, thats installed as part of the kit, flashes between a low and high intensity.

As far as i know, when you turn the ignition on, the light flashes bright. Once the engine is started in fades slightly.

My problem is you catch the light flashing between low and high intensity every now and again. I can reproduce it on deman which is a pain as ive had it back to the OPC a number of times now but they cannot find fault!! (Typical!!)

Has anyone else had this problem?

Has anyone got the kit installed and does the light have two intensities?

Another worring aspect is it very occationaly flahes up on the speedo that it is disabled. It has only done it twice, but it makes me thing the kit is not working 99% of the time and when it has flashed up...thats the two instances where its actually working?

Anyone else with the kit get speedo messages when its deactivated?

Thanks for any help

UPDATE:

Porsche - sutton : Have found that the problem is due to the light sensor within the Speedo cluster. If you wave your hand across it, the light goes dull.

Great!!

EXCEPT: A new cluster did not fix it and now we are waiting on Porsche HQ to come up with a solution!?

Anyone know how long such escalations can take? I.e. Do the HQ come back quickly on matters escalated to them?

Thanks for keeping us updated on this - I've not seen this problem before so it is useful to know what's happening(although that's no help to you...[&o])
