What's the latest thinking on the causes ( and cure ) for the Air Bag Warning light staying resolutely on? Fault code is 30, but having checked through everything, there is nothing obviously awry - and car isn't fitted with seatbelt connections which appear to be a common cause of faults.
Cheers

I'm on holiday in Spain at the moment, so limited access to info, but the manual says:

Fault codes 14, 15, 30, 31, 41

Ignition circuit, passenger's side airbag

Diagnostic conditions . Ignition on

Possible cause of fault

  • Short circuit to B+/ground or open circuit in the wiring between the passenger side airbag unit and the airbag triggering unit[FONT=verdana, geneva"]

  • Passenger's side airbag faulty[FONT=verdana,geneva"]

  • Triggering unit for airbag faulty[FONT=verdana, geneva"]

Hi Richard,

What's the weather like ? - we're coming out for a long weekend near Marbella / Estepona and heard we're having warmer weather than you at the mo ?

Martin.

It's warm and sunny, but there is a cool sea breeze. Cooler than when we left home, that's for sure. We are in Puerto Cabapino, just down the road from Marbella.
