Airbag warning light

To reset the light you will need to visit someone who can remove the fault. Simply fixing what ever was loose that caused the light to come on will not reset the light on the dash. A garage tripped an airbag light on my 986 and I struggled to find someone other than Porsche that could reset the code that was causing the light on the dash. Can't remember how long it took them but it cost about £50 to resolve - fortunately in my case the garage the caused the problem picked up the tab.

I have recently encountered a problem with my 2000 2.7 Boxster...after moving the seats to clean the car the airbag warning light has suddenly come on. I understand this is not uncommon...should I be resigned to visiting my Porsche dealer/specialist to resolve this, or is this something I can fix myself?
