Just went out to take a quick look on mine and it looks easy enough, any air con place or OPC should be able to do it quickly and regas presuming they have a replacement plug. Does he have a warranty?

My nephews Cayman has leaked all it's aircon gas tonight through the top of the black plastic plug in the attached digi!

Anyone know if this is a major or minor fault to fix

Many thanks in advance

No warranty but as it's now daylight working hours again I'm sure he will find the bottom line out shortly []

That looks like the pressure sensor, part number (But check with VIN): 955 613 137 02 price 35.17 plus VAT. The O ring should also be replaced, part number 999 707 555 41 price 1.22 plus VAT.

Daro, if you do a search on Porsche pet and take the Porsche original parts list which is one of Porsches own sites you can select from the Porsche models part lists all available for download. Unfortunately, no prices but someone may be able to come up with that list too.

i have a 2 yr warranty from porsche leicester. they said it is the same as that provided for new cars. they also said it doesnt cover aircon gas leaks ! surely it does ?

Porsche Approved warranty is said to be bumper to bumper but not wear and tear so may will not cover some items, however, it depends on what they identify the cause as. For instance a slipping clutch, could be worn out or could be caused by a failed RMS, if the latter they may ask for payment to cover part wear or give good will. So a blown compressor loses the gas but to change the compressor on warranty no point to not replace the gas...
