The last part of my restoration project is to get the ac working. It's had new rads (condensers) and a new receiver drier with the joints receiving new o rings. A vac test shows a very minor leak (5 minutes to loose the vac) so the compressor looks like it needs replacing but before doing that the whole system was inspected from underneath and a victim of a car jack accident was found in front of the os rear wheel. The pressure side pipe has been damaged by either the car slipping off a jack or the jack not being positioned correctly.
The parts manual has been consulted but the diagrams do not really correspond to my car. So the question is where can about 150mm of ac metal pipe be sourced so I can rule this out as the reason for the tiny leak before buying an exchange compressor? Has anyone ever had this work done? If so where ?
