Hi,

My air con is making terminal noises from the compressor - it sounds as if
the bearings have gone - can anyone advise me where to get a rebuilt one or
a secondhand one.
Bert has quoted £550 but I would like to get one for less than this if
possible.
I think it is the pully bearing that has failed as it makes lots of noise
with both the aircon on and of.
Is the pully bearing replaceable?
Has anyone on here got one laid in their garage that they want to sell.
I need to sort this soon as if it siezes up it will take the alternator out
as well.

A mate had a similar thing happen to his. He thinks the shaft is broken inside, but he just fitted my spare one and hasn't investigated.
