Unfortunately money is definitely still an issue for me so , short of 'cost no object' I quite fancy an alacantra steering wheel.
Can anyone recommend a place to recover my original wheel (now leatherless) including horn push etc?
can this be done?
has anyone done this before?
 
somone on the 968 forum looked at this and then bought a new wheel... cos it was cheaper
 
I spoke to southbound about this some time ago and leather was going to be cheaper - also doing the dash in a 944 is s big job apparently -£££££££££
 
Alcantara is surprisingly expensive, at least in my experience. Once bought a new Elise Sport160 - ended up getting the factory to do some additional interior trimming in alcantara as it was actually the cheapest option.
 
Without wanting to be rude, if money is a problem then 'fancying an alcantara steering wheel' may seem to be quite a luxury.

Why not stick with the leather one and put the money aside for some petrol (for a good hoon), or to go towards some of those repairs that are more expensive than you expect them to be?
