Alarm goes off in the heat

My alarm - a PA 1000 I think on a '97 993 2S- is inclined to go off in hot weather - especially when I have used the car - but increasingly just when the sun gets on it and it heats up. It used to be irregular but now seems to be happening all the time. Not great in this weather. Does anyone else have this problem and know how it might be cured?
