Hi All, My car has had the original fit immobiliser removed. The car now starts fine just on the key, I don't need to put the little "dongle" thingy in the slot on the steering column shroud first. The problem I have is that the alarm system monitors the presence of the immobiliser, and when I lock the car the door button LEDs do a double flash every few seconds, instead of a single flash. Can anyone tell me what this means, and what effect it has - i.e. is the alarm set or not, will it keep going off or will it not go off at all? Before the immobiliser was removed it would sometimes do the double flash if the glovebox wasn't shut properly, but now it's all the time. Any ideas? I'm considering having the old alarm removed as well and a more modern alarm & immobiliser setup installed - has anyone gone down that road? any advice? All input appreciated! Cheers, Steve
