I have just bought a porsche boxster 3.2s what i need to know is when i have come to take the battery off to replace with a new one everytime i take one of the leads off the battery the alarm goes off so could anyone tell me how to change the battery without the alarm going off
thanks

Hi,
Not sure why that should happen, I just replaced my battery without problems but why not try attaching a battery conditioner to the leads first? I was going to do that but couldn't see the logic.

If you did this, the electronics would presumably think there was still a battery attached and so you could change without problems. However, I'd suggest you wait to see what others think. There may be another underlying problem which needs addressing first.

Hope that helps
Andrew

Put the key in the ignition and turn to the first "accessory" position. (where the lights come on).

You can then change the battery.
If it's a pre-facelift S I hope you've got the radio code - you'll need it to reset the radio once you reconnect.
