Alarm problem.

The Saint.

Wonder if anyone can help? Every time I lock the car the horn beeps once, its really annoying. I think its the frint bonnet, because if I press down hard it will arm without a beep. But after trying to adjust the bonnet with the rubber stops on either side, its still beeping. Does anyone know what else I can try? Where is the micro switch, could it be faulty? [:(]

The microswitches often stick, and can usually be freed with a bit of a waggle and a squirt of WD-40. Take off the panel where the catch goes through (2 quarter-turn tabs - 2), and you'll see the lock and microswitch underneath.

I had a problem with the boot light not coming on and tried the WD-40 trick and it worked like a dream.

Couple of squirts and wiggled the latch and everything been fine since. Not sure if it will work both must be worth a try before anything else.

That's great, thanks for the advice, much appreciated. Will be on it first thing in the morning. Great forum, lots of help when you need it.!! [:)]
