Alarm Setting Itself Without Remote (Porsche health & safety ?!)

I've searched the forums but not found anything about this specific issue - I'm hoping the boxster boffins can shed some light for me on this:

MY 2007 Boxtser S - and both remotes works fine lock and unlock (without any horn beeps warnings.)

My problems is that if the car is left doors shut & key out of ignition, when a door is opened after 30 secs the alarm sounds.
e.g. I hop out of the car, taking keys out of ignition, shut doors but don't lock it, then after 30 ish secs if a door is re-opened the alarm sounds ( bonnet and boot do not trigger alarm.)
Also I've checked and everything feels dry under the seats - checked both , couldn't remember which side the alarm unit is !

I don't believe this is a optional "function"; that is to say I've not read anything in this regard - although as I type this I prepare to stand corrected !

As it's only the doors, i wonder if it's got something to do with the internal movement sensor? I called OPC to see if they could have a quick look and they're busy until Friday. As I'm off to le Mans on Thurs I'm hoping you may be able to provide a quicker solution / diagnosis.

merci beaucoup.
