Alarm sounder replacement?

Hi - my 981 has the alarm siren issues - hazards have been flashing randomly for a few days and now the alarm keeps going off so I so have pulled it out.
I've seen various posts confirming that this is a standard VAG unit - has anyone successfully replaced theirs with a non Porsche variant? It would save me a fair amount of money but it seems like there are lots of difference part numbers all starting with 1K0951605. Mine is a 1K0951605B but I've seen others with C, D and F suffixes.

thanks in advance.
[cross posted in the Boxster forum as that seems to have more users - hope that's ok]

thanks I came across that - the part in the video is a Porsche part but it says the VAG ones work - but then in the comments says the SW needs to match the existing part which has confused me.

Had same problem last month ( cayman 981), replaced with unit ordered from Design911, almost identical to original but had vag part number on unit, fitted and solved issues

Thanks, just trying to see if I can get it cheaper somewhere. If not I'll get it from there.

Just to update this in case anyone comes across this post - replacement part ordered from Design911. It was the 1K0951605F variant. Swapped out and tested and works.

Cracked open my original and the back of the board is showing corrosion. https://photos.app.goo.gl/1aH41FV1cr26998U6

If you can get one from a VAG dealer for cheaper than Desing911 £229.20 inc PCGB discount then go for it.

I personally wouldn't bother with one from a breaker unless you can find one from a recent car as these seem to have a 10 shelf life at max.
