ALARMING

I have a cobra 7928 alarm fitted to my car its now 15 years old i want to renew it but dont want something that is to expensive and is easy to understand i have a fitter who will do the work any suggestions would be welcome

Take it off and don't bother, no-one takes any notice of them if they go off anyway.

I've got 2 GSD's, there wouldn't be much left of the interior if they lived in the car.

no alarm will most likely effect your insurance though....I have Toad in mine..it's old now but does the job....I would advise against a 'Clifford'...they are good alarms but I hate them, constantly making sounds...I made my son disarm his car that's currently parked outside due to the close proximity sound going off during the night...was driving me mad....lol

I just insured a Turbo with no alarm for less than an S2 with a full blown Cat1. They always ask for one, but in reality it seems to make sod all difference to the premium.

I think insurers usually want immobilisers, even the original H&P on my car made a difference for my classic cover.

I have an immobiliser on my Turbo, just a flashing led, get in the car and the dongle is detected by a sensor around the steering column, no fuss, but I am cannot remember the make of it.

the S2 has afar you Dan all singing and dancing chirp chirp affair fitted, Autowatch I believe.

I have the Toad i606 on my 964 and my Silver Rose. Excellent Cat 1 alarms and easy to use with a small fob. You can get them for around £100 and a decent auto electrician can fit it in a couple of hours.
