ALERT! Car thieves in our area!

On Saturday 27th August I returned home from 2 days away at my daughters wedding to find that our house had been broken into. The burglars had entered the house with the specific intention of stealing my 1973 911T Targa! They had searched through drawers looking for keys, jewellery and computers/cameras etc had all been left untouched but drawers had been searched and the doors through the back of the house to the garage had been opened. Fortunately (in this case) the car had developed a fault on the Thursday before we were due to leave and had been taken to Francis Tuthill to be repaired so they left empty handed. The police attended and said that it was a 'professional' job (their parents must be so proud).

I was lucky this time but suspect that they will be back so I will be getting a tracker fitted to the car and will be upgrading my home security with cameras and a telescopic bollard in front of the garage door etc.

I suggest that you all review your security as this was a specific targeted break in and we put too much into our cars to have these low lives take them.

Good luck all!
