OK, so it's not quite finished but it's in one piece and the engine was turned over and made oil pressure this evening. Now it's just the EMS software to configure and some detailing to do[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]

So it's only half finished then. [;)]

Sorry you couldn't make it last night. We had a great laugh, even though Beaky was running like a complete toad.

C'mon Fen I'll race you to get it finished. Mines been away for a week now so you have a slight headstart [;)] I like the catchcan in place of the PAS reservoir

Last night was very frustrating without my Turbo (but I did manage to get my van in the pitlane for the driver parade [:D] )

We've started to take it apart again now - somebody spotted a standard bit so it has to go [;)][FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]What did you do to your turbo anyway, Paul? I think maybe I missed it when I was away.[FONT=verdana, geneva"]

It started to smoke really badly, and when Jon Mitchell stripped it down it had 5mm fore and aft play, and 2 mm lateral as well as some chipped blades caused by a foreign object. It was still boosting really well so I am dripping with anticipation to what a newer, modern design will do [:D]

Tony - me too, but I can assure you we haven't had time to engineer it that way.[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]Paul - just after I asked I saw your post on Titanic. So which turbo are you going for? That's Rick, yourself, Tony, me, Mark D and with Mr Sims making big turbo noises soon there will be no K26's left in 944 engine bays.[FONT=verdana, geneva"]

I've got the Lindsey 61 from Andrew at Promax. He had it in stock and was able to courier it next day to Jon Mitchell in Bournemouth if neccesary. I just can't bear to be without my car for any more than a day or two so I jumped at the chance.

The timing was perfect to be honest because I really haven't missed it now that I have my van to pootle around in. If I still worked for IBM and needed to commute 80 miles a day I would have topped myself by now [8|]

Looking good Fen. Did you paint it yourself - looks excellent on the photo. Are you leaving the wheels black?

Only they PU and wheels have been painted so far and I didn't do it myself. The wheels are anthracite and absolutely they're staying that colour [:)]
