All Fools Tulip Route

Hi Everyone,
I have decided to volunteer to organise a Tulip Route run out on the morning of 1st of April as noted in the newsletter Calender.
At the moment it is little more than an idea in my tiny mind!
I think we will take a look at the Rockingham/Rutland area, I have one or two ideas on start and finish venues, to include tea/coffee at the start and lunch/drinks at the finish, more details as they materialise.
This event will be open to members of all regions, so pass the word around, the more the merrier.
If the turn out is anything like the Ace Cafe last night I won't be able to cope!!!
If you would like more info contact me or Mike Pink
Thats all for know

Good to see you at Ace Cafe night.

Thanks for doing this - I'm sure there will be a lot of interest - both from the perspective of the area that you are looking to do the run in, and the chance for members to give their cars a good run over the weekend - we should be in Spring by then [8|]!

Despite it being April 1st [8D], I will be there but probably on my own as my little lad has a party to go to and Kim will be ferrying him around - will it be easy enough to navigate without a passenger?

Hi Mike
It wont be difficult for anyone who does not have access to passenger/co driver, I intend to make route instructions very straight forward, even a child could manage.:ROFLMAO: As it is obviously non-competitive time is not important,so going solo will be fine.
I see I am still registered as non-member [:(]does it take time or have I done wrong!!
I cant beleive the turn out at Ace Cafe on Wednesday, must be a RO's dream venue
later

Sorry to do this to you.
BUT
If it is for more than 12 cars you will require a 'Motorsports Association Certificate of Exhemption for a Touring Assembly'. This will also require contacting the police forces in any areas that you drive through.

Geoff, thanks for your advice, we are fully aware of the need for an exemption to run this event.

Rutland Water and surrounding countryside is a wonderful area and I'd like to put my name down for this if it materialises. As I'm from R24, I can also promote it at our next club night if numbers need boosting (which I think is 14th), so let me know.

BTW, does Geoff need to shout quite so loud [;)]??

Mike, thanx for your interest. If you give us a mention at your club night that would be great[:)].Provisional start venue will be in Thrapston, which is not too far for your region members.

Message to all interested members.
I've driven the proposed route and it is very nice with lots to see, more details as I finalise things. I have also found a very nice pub that will serve us lunch for those interested.
Keep watching this space for more info[;)].

Hi Sue, (if you read this before tomorrows meeting) maybe you can drum up some interest during the meeting[8|]. I am interested to get some idea of the numbers likely to attend.
I have managed to put together a really nice route[:)] with lots to see. I hope the weather is fine, should be a good day.

Hi, new memebr here!

Planning to attend rally, never attempted one before so looking forward to "trying" to navigate around.

Trivia

(12 car limit is based on maximum number of London buses that could be found at anyone time on a particular route).

Dave

WELCOME!![:)]
Hi, glad to see you are interested in attending run out. The navigation is very simple, my aim is for everyone to see all of the route[8|]. I am sure you will manage, and any of the other members, as well as myself will help you if needed.

Notice to all interested.
I am hopefully going to drive the whole route this weekend. If this happens I will be able to let you know the total mileage and possiblely the time it will take to complete.
Watch this space![8|]

April the 1st you say?

That's a little unfortunate really.

However, depending on times and distances Denise and I are interested aswell - oh and best not forget Max but he won't know anything about it.

Run is now MSA authorised ! - well done Rikki [:)]

Let's get the number well over 12 now to make that worthwhile!!![8D]

Hi Sue, If anybody turns up in a vehicle lower than a go-kart they may have a problem:ROFLMAO: For the rest of us the route is very user friendly[:)]
regards Rikki
