Alloy wheel refurb highly recommended in our region.

I've just had all four of my alloys on the 944 S2 fully refurbished by Fenwicks in Northallerton and the quality is absoloutely excellent [:D]

Fenwicks is owned by one of our members Mike Fenwick and he is offering this service to all members at trade prices. This is not just a rub down and respray, I left the car with Mike for a couple of days (I believe he can do them in a day if he gets enough notice) all four wheels removed from the car, tyres, valves and weights removed then all the wheels go through the following process;

1. Chemical stripping of existing finish.

2. Fully bead blasted and then baked in the oven to remove any impurities and moisture.

3. Then powder coated with an undercoat and baked again.

4. Then powder coated with the outer colour (several available including the exact finish for Porsches) and baked again.

5. Finally fully powder coated with a lacquer front and back.

The final finish is fantastic and I highly recommend you speak to Mike, he's a top bloke and very approachable [:D].

If you are thinking of getting your wheels fettled, have a look at his website here;

I'll second the quality of Mike's work, visited his premises a couple of weeks ago to collect a set of wheels I bought from him and saw his operation first hand, spotlessly clean, hi tech equipment and his attention to detail was something else too.

I'd have no hesitation in recommending his services

Thought it was worth mentioning a new scheme which Mike Fenwick is launching. Alloy wheel insurance, £89 covers you for 4 refurbs in 12 months, as long as your wheels are spick and span to start with [:D]

Give him a call on 08000288911 or 01609774643

He's really helpful and keen to help out PCGB members [;)]

Has anyone seen or heard from Mike recently? Julie Knox contacted me asking if he was still trading, no answer to emails or phone calls. His site is up and running but can't seem to get hold of him, I've tried myself with no luck, I hope the current economic down turn hasn't affected the business [:(]

I'm afraid Mike has gone out of business. I was in Northallerton at the weekend and all of his signs are down and the units are to let.
I was talking to David at Car Tech and Care and he confirmed that this was the case.

I believe he has sold the 928 too.
