Hi

Any one had their wheels done and can suggest a good refurber???

I live in Stamford north of Peterborough so any ideas of who is good and who is not, would obviously prefer someone as close as poss to myself or midlands area, so I can drop off on my travels with work.

Thanks once again

Nearest (not that far away) - Pristine Wheels - Woburn Sands. For £75+ vat, they repaired, stripped, Acid etched primed, painted, and re-finished with fine diamond turning. They look brill 2yrs on.

Well recommended

I thought the D90s were painted. Maybe the forged ones are anodised.

An '88 Turbo S would ahve had forged wheels originally, rememeber.

I have the forged wheels which were originally anodised. However a previous owner had them refurbished with normal wheelpaint about 4 years ago. It looks fine (apart from the usual scratches and kerbing that others have put on them since [8|])

Sorry everyone one, forgot to mention it is not the originals I want to refurb.

I have just picked up a set of original 968 Cup 2's in 17".

They are in reasonable condition, but want to bring them back to new before I fit tyres.

Thanks yet again

Hi

Well just took my wheels to Wheel Care in Grantham Lincolnshire.

Did a fantastic job, including taking metal porsche wheel centres out, stripping coloured centres out of the middle. Then repainting these to match wheels and then bonded wheel colour crests back.

Charged me £160 all in, including doing the colour crest centres.

Can recommend them.

Cheers

Lee
