Alloy Wheel Refurb?

My 2001 Boxster S is fitted with a set of 18" Sport Classic two piece (Split rim?) wheels, they are not in bad nick but are showing the first signs of deteriorating with some evidence of laquer lifting and paint bubbling. I want to get them refurbed, has anyone a good experience of having these sort of wheels refurbed. I believe these wheels have to be split to be painted properly and new bolts fitted?
I live in R11 (Essex) but am willing to travel to Kent, Herts, Suffolk East & North London to get the work done although some people do offer a collection service.
I am interested in price per wheel standard of refurb plus how well the refurb has lasted.
