Alloy Wheel Refurb

Anyone used either of the following or know of somewhere else in Central Belt to recommend?
Wheel Centre (Scotland) in Cambuslang or The Wheel Specialist who are in Edinburgh or Glasgow.
Wheel Centre are about 3/4 the price but would prefer to pay the extra if it was likely to be a better job i.e. better colour match to original colour and last longer before they start corroding again. Equally there is no point paying extra if it would be the same quality of job.
Cheers
Graeme

I know Porsche centre in Glasgow have just started to do wheel refurbs. You might want to ask there and arrange a club discount

Don't use wheel centre cambuslang and make the same mistake I did. Very poor workmanship...mine were rubbish to be honest. I complained and had a discount off the total price but to be honest I would have preferred just to pay the extra for them to be done right. They talk the talk but I cannot recommend them at all beware!!! Tim

I echo the comments from Tim,-- shoddy shoddy people. Horrid experience. Cut my losses left after seeing the first two jobs.

The Wheel Specialist East-Kilbride 0845 302 1946 Ask for John Grove the club gets a good discount from then make sure you mention PCGB and say Brian recommended you .Loads have used them including myself and do a good job and do a Porsche colour There is a post about this some where on the Scottish forum At one point before OPC Glasgow started doing their own wheels they sent them to the WS

I had my GT3 wheels powder coated by The Wheel Specialist in East Kilbride and was very pleased with them. There was a blister on one of them which they pointed out to me and they did the complete wheel again. I think I paid £300.00 which I thought was ok. Parks send all the Bentley wheels up there and they seem to have a pretty good reputation. Kenny Ritchie

Another thumbs up for the Wheel Specialist in EKB. My 19" Carrera S alloys were in a pretty poor state of affairs when I bought the car - had them refurbished in shadow chrome and now use them as my winter wheels - really pleased with the results - £300 all in.
