I got 8 and 11 x 18 wheels with 225/40 and 295/30ZR18 from genuine 996 GT2

It tramlines like a steamroller, but boy, does it look good from the back!!!

Not sure about the 968 wheels.

If you're meaning the 965-look Speedlines, then replicas are available at £1200 inc tyres, BUT replicas are never as good (or as light as) genuine Porsche / Speedline items (£2750).

hi,
They are geniune turbo 2 wheels (spilt rims)
8" and 10".
Will they fit OK?
What is the offset for the Carrera 3.2?

Even if they dont fit, with spacers will I be ok?

thanks

Virtually anything will fit with spacers. Find out the offset and we can tell you what size spacers you need. For example, have a look at this chart.

As Richard says spacers will enable virually any other Porsche wheels to be fitted, but the original Fuchs alloys are much lighter than most of the later wheels.
This may not be important to you, but more unsprung weight is never a good thing - just wish I could afford a spare set of Fuchs for track work, rather than using my old Boxster wheels @ 4kg per corner weight penalty.

4kg per corner? I wonder what difference you can feel with these wheels.

I know how important unsprung weight is for a race car, but I really doubt you can feel it in a relatively heavyweight road car. The wheels Ruf used are veritable boat anchors and I have never heard a journo comment on how heavy they felt. Likewise, my 7/9x16 with 245/225s must be a good deal heavier than the original 6/8x16 with 205/225s. I can't feel a difference (other than the extra grip afforded by the wider set.

I would be interested to know what you feel is different. Could you blind test them?
