Almost unbelievable ...

So I walked into OPC Leeds yesterday morning and ??

There in the corner was ....

This Light Yellow 2.7RS --- a RHD lightweight with less than 1000Kms on the clock ...

And incredibly, it's been completely fettled by Porsche with new parts throughout and an original 2 year new warranty ....
OMG ... why was I so generous with the Kids ???

1000 miles? It's not the original speedometer, should be in MPH not KPH. Just one of many incorrect details, include the rims.

I think it may have been an HK car ??

The work is supposed to have been done by Porsche themselves .... ??

Maybe they mean the local Porsche Approved body shop as opposed to the Porsche factory (museum) where they do restore cars.

"This is the only 911 2.7 RS in history to be restored by Porsche AG"

I don't think that's true.

Agree - would have thought another would have passed through their classic restoration service.

There was an article in Christophorus a few years ago, about one they did - white with red IIRC.

I saw the car in the classic restoration workshop a few miles away from the factory, not the museum, along with a m471,of which not much of the original car was left apart from the dash and fuel tank panel. They do some fantastic work, but get the odd detail wrong.
you should have seen the 356 speedster waiting to be collected by the owner from hongkong, they showed me the build book that porsche do for each restoration, simply stunning,at a cost!

*Allegedly* The car was sold recently as-is for £950k. Buyer elected not to collect - but instead 'flip' the car and he is now selling it for £1.1m.

Asking :)

It is still lovely, but a difficult thing to own as anything other than an investment ....
On the basis of which ... when they are the same price as a McLaren 650S (new) I may be interested !!

Strangely P do not have a car in this category ...

Otherwise, my 2.4S does this job for me :)
