Alternative 6 hour race for club racers

Hi

I am contacting you to see if you are interested in entering a 6 hour race for club level competitors at Snetterton 15 August

The race has been established by a group of enthusiasts and experienced officials and drivers who have got together via the 10-Tenths motorsport forum.

The event is truly about giving club level competitors the chance to race in an endurance event a low cost. Yes, really, the club that has been established to run this event is none profit making & everyone is giving their time free to run it.

It is hoped to have an entry fee of around £1000 for qualifying and a 6 hour race and the more people that enter then the lower the entry fee will be.

After much debate, the rules have been adjusted recently to allow wide eligibility, including all road designed sports, saloon & GT cars up to the 1986 model year (and cars deemed by the Committee to be in the spirit of the race!). A 2.5 944 would go very well in my opinion.

There is a good level of interest but a few more entries would not go amiss!

The race is just 3 weeks away (Snetterton, 15 August) & should be a good day with demos of classic Le Mans car (Porsche 962) as well as the race itself. The club is still staying true to its word about having this as a not for profit making venture & so should be the best value endurace race ever.

Have a look at the 360 motor racing club web site for updated details & to enter.

Thanks

Andy
