Just acquired a 2009 4.8s but it doesn't have a universal audio interface, I understand one can be retrofitted for About 250 plus 3 hours labour. However, I also like RDS radio I have seen a Dension gateway 500S that is supposed to integrate to the PCM system that does what the Universal Audi interface does ie control of ipod/ usb music source but which can have an RDS module module as well, so the RDS can be controlled via the PCM. The Dension unit including RDS looks like it'd work out about the same as the official audio interface on its own, then I'd still need an RDS addon that would need a separate remote rather than going through the PCM.
Any one have any experience of adding such a device to the PCM?
