Having read recent threads on tyre pressure - I thought I would check mine at weekend ( 993 C2S on 18"). Visited first garage, pulled the cap, pushed on the hose and then found I could not get this far enough on to engage and push valve pin down to get any air in, in act just caused a small leak. Assumed this was something odd with this particular garage but tried elsewhere later iin day and had same experience. Am I being dim here or missing something? 993 newbie.

I have the same problem with my wheels, solved also with a Michelin foot pump - single barrel only though...[]
I had same problem on 18s and Porsche mechanic gave me a valve key which allows me to raise(?) the valve pin inside the housing ensuring pump access... halfords have same key for a couple of pounds.
Is this method not recommended ??
