Am I missing something??

These things are quite often a scam - there are too many suspiciously cheap cars on eBay and Autotrader.

Either that, or it's a repaired insurance write-off.

That's my guess anyway.
 
The worst of it is that scammers are able to hijack legit users of ebay, and use their accounts- my brother ended up with someone contacting him to ask how he wanted payment for something he'd not sold, but the chap had apparently bought from my brother. Ebay were notified.
 
I have seen a few myself over the months, however normally the seller is newly registered but this ebay member has been registered for a few years...

What they haven't posted are the "after pictures" when it was burried into a tree or something!
