Am I paranoid?

I have now done 1680 miles in my C2S and loving it. Not been above 5,500rpm but only another couple of 100 miles to go. I had to top up with 0.4 litre of oil this evening and all is well.

A couple of niggles that are beginning to eat into my calm are an occasional lumpy idle and a light clicking sound at idle. The idle change is not much approx 50rpm around the mean (900ish when warm) and not all the time. The light tapping sound is reminiscent of a not quite adjusted tappet on an old car.

Should I worry about these? I have seen some threads about lumpy idling and the car going back to the dealer, but this seems trivial.

Sadly having read both this and the Rennlist fora, I am almost expecting things to happen. I also cannot stop looking at the left exhaust stubs for signs of them being darker than the right side! [:)]

No need to see a psychiatrist just yet, your concerns are entirely normal - well no different to mine; perhaps we could get discount if we made a joint appointment [:)].

Thank you Snarf. I am not alone.

Those friendly people at Porsche Guildford are having a look "to put my mind at rest" on Friday.

Went on a visit to Morgan Cars with the 997 register earlier today. It appears Morgan owners have similar psychological disorders but apparently Morgan stock a solution.
