AM V8 Vantage v 997

I saw the Aston Martin V8 Vantage at Gaydon yesterday. Who knows what it will be like dymnamically (given what Evo says about DB9 this month, may disappoint) but aesthetically it is drop dead gorgeous in the metal.

Price will be around £75k to £80k - or as they put it between a standard Carrera and a Turbo.

I told my Porsche sales rep that if they would give it to me in writing that Porsche UK will warrant the 997 RMS and gearbox for life or 150,000 miles (no tracking), I would buy one. Otherwise I will go for the AMV8.

Guess which car I am buying next?

My only problem with the AM V* is that I would find it difficult to justify £80k and 2 seats.

I saw the prototype at Geneva 2003 ............. Stunning !

Now all we need is 70k, interesting that that started at 50k though !!

Can you find any car company that will offer a life/150k warranty of any sort? Will AM offer that for their gearbox?
