Amazing MPG !!

Last weekend I went up to Cumbria to R22 Nerherby Hall car show with my neighbour and fellow petrol head Mike. It's just about 100 miles from me and despite it being mostly motorway it was a very nice journey north. I had bought tickets for Silverstone Classic but decided not to go there for personal reasons. I made a good choice as the weather in Lancashire and Cumbria that day was rain free and sunshine too! Unlike the Silverstone downpours.

My insurance with Lockton’s allows me to let anyone over the age of 35 drive my car fully comprehensive.

Mike is a very careful driver and drives some gorgeous cars, so I let him drive my car home.

Although he stayed mostly within the national speed limits, except for the occasional overtaking he managed to get 38.9 MPG.

This is truly amazing for a 450 BHP car that can top 190 MPH and get to 0-60 in 3.2 secs.

I expect this will easily return over 40 MPG when we get back to normal and are once again able to do our European trips.

I think this is a remarkable achievement for Porsche engineering.

Great economy. the best I've had out of my Cayman S is around 37.5 which i though was good.

Nothing to be proud of, Peter - the car is obviously not being driven quickly enough! :ROFLMAO:

Regards,

Clive

45mph/1000rpm is very high geared and 309miles range on half a tank is amazing!
