An early departure :(

Thanks chaps. Carole was diagnosed with secondary cancer earlier this week. We thought we had beat it after 4 years, but it seems not.

I know you haven't seen the car (Jim Francis has and can vouch for its condition) in person (so to speak), but am I asking too much perhaps? We don't desperately need to sell it to be honest. I was just hoping to get my money back on the car.
I know its all about catching the right person at the right time, theres so many on the market though and the state the country is in at the minute may mean I end up keeping it. Something positive then ;)

Paul,

I'm very sorry to hear that. 4 years is pretty good going, and it's cruel that the big C should raise it's ugly head after such a time. That's not good news.

I know this is just a car forum, and losing your P&J is only part of it, but there must be a lot behind your posts.

I don't quite know what to say. But hang in there.

All the best with selling/keeping your car. And particularly, all the best with Carole.

Oli.

Cheers lads. Fingers crossed for Mondays results.

I've only just realised the title sounds a bit morbid.

So sorry to hear about your predicament. I had bowel cancer 4 years ago, and once I got over the chemo I flogged my model car collection and bought the S2 with the proceeds! Should have done it years ago, and we're reminded that life is NOT a rehearsal.

A 30% chance of survival certainly changes your priorities. It's just glorious and I'm so glad I did it, even if a recurrence is always looming. Makes the wife smile too....she can see how happy it makes me.

Good luck to you both.
