Looks like the owner got fed the same line as me when he bought those Schroth ASM harnesses and has put a left harness on both sides. Those particular Schroth harnesses are handed so he needs to go back to the importer and get the right one swapped. Apologies for the geeky observation but it might help someone get 150 quid off the asking price [8D]

With the mass exodus of RHD cars to Eastern parts can't be many right hookers left in the UK. Sean uses the "Investment" word ...... is he subject to the FSA giving such advice[;)]

Seriously looks an honest Right Hander ..... [:)]

Thats a good spot Steve, whats the difference between the handedness? I didnt know this existed.

Be interested to see if it sells at that price, as already said, RHD there arent many out there are there? And how many in Ruby?

On the ASM (anti-submarine) versions there is a fold stitched into one of the shoulder straps (you can see the big yellow tab on the shoulder staps in the pics). This must be fitted on the in board (tunnel) side of the car. So, left shoulder on the right seat and right shoulder on the left seat. If one tries to fit a left harness to the right side, the strap with the fold is on the wrong shoulder (as shown in the pics of this RS). Furthermore the buckle on the lap belt is upside down if you try to fit it to the tunnel side (where it should be). When I informed the supplier of this error (Demon T) they were adamant that the harnesses were interchangeable. It was only when I insisted that they contacted Schroth about the issue that they realized their error and sent me a correct 'right harness'. Goodness knows how many people they have supplied these harnesses to wrongly [8|]. I don't think the normal 6 point Profi harnesses are affected because they don't have (or need) ASM.

Makes the orange one at GT Classics look like incredible value.

Yes agree Talat, BUT two very different markets and very very different cars though ...... know which one I would buy[:D]

yes agree - I had the same discussion with DT and ended up with GPRacewear - at least they knew that the belts are in two versions. The whole point of the ASM's is to tear off the loop stitching and make the inboard belt longer forcing your upper body inwards to the car and hence stop you sliding down. I hate to think what forces are needed to rip the stitching and I am still mulling what it would be like to have one side free to move an inch or so more than the other but trust Schroth to know. I could not have 5 way as I needed my seat lowered and the bar for that fouled the seat sliding, I did not want to have a static seat which would have been ok for a 5 pointer.

And I had exactly the same thing with Tweeks when buying the Schroth ASM belts. They sent me two sets the same, and took some persuading to agree to change them.
