Running in advice was to keep to max. 4000rpm if I was going to keep the car for a long time, but not to worry if I 'needed' the extra revs. Otherwise just drive it!
The 4000 limit is very frustrating as the engine is just beginning to sing[
Must go, the sun is shining.

I agree about the running in. Some say you can even create problems if you strictly limit the revs for too long.ORIGINAL: Dapster
Looks great in Guards Red - there was one in the showroom when I collected mine. Ref the rev limit - OPC West Lon has suggested to another of us that you have to use the whole rev range up to 5000 to ensure the liners are fully bedded in. Bearing in mind that the engine has been bench tested under full load anyway, I'm beginning think that as long as you ensure that the car is fully up to temperature and are aware that the tyres, brakes and clutch need a bit of tlc early on, you may as well get on with it!
Engine sounds great at 5000revs, allegedly [

I haven't had a chance to take mine out this week so I hope it's nice Saturday and Sunday so I can have some sunny top down motoring.
Thanks
