I saw Des on Sunday at the tipec annual bash at Hatton smooing the punters.
I had to look that word up. So, which definition is it in these circumstances... []

Err excuse my ignorance, but what are those bands for?? Stop the cover flapping?
I think they're mostly to stop the car getting scratched when squeezing past it in a garage....or in my case one would be useful to protect it on the drive from the wife driving the wheelie bin [8|]
Kick out the horses and convert those stables then you wouldn't need Des's Contraband []
The Carband stops the cover from flapping and also wicks any moisture away.
It really is quick and easy to use --- both to wrap and unwrap !
The other advantage of the band going over a cover is that there is no possibility of a clean car being scratched, although I may have to concern myself with the dog cosying down on the bonnet !
Joking apart, my Wife once returned home to find my Deerhound lounging on the bonnet of my speed yellow 996 GT3 MkII. Incredibly, there was hardly a scratch to show for it []
