Andrew's Press Articles

I own a 968 but was very interested in the following 2 articles that feature the 944 Turbo of Andrew at ProMax.

See page 86 of 911PW and page 54 of GTPP -- great PR for what can be done with a turbo.

Almost getting to the stage where I would be better off with one of these engines in my 968! -- wow 400bhp compared to my measly 220 would be real fun.

I appreciate that he is promoting his business but I think it really helps keep 944's top of mind for people who want power at an affordable price. For a car that has not been made for well over 10 years the more coverage and aftermarket stuff available the better.

I love the caption in 911&PW on page 88

"Engine looks standard..." obviously a man famillier with the engine bay of a Turbot [:D]. On the other hand, as the author is a "...dyed-in-the-wool 911 nut" perhaps he had the tailgate open at the time.

The author is the same idiot who always acts pleasantly surprised whenever he goes to see a 944T and it has air con, and also reckons they made 240bhp versions.

I'm afraid that a staff writer on a mag dedicated to a single brand of car with as few models as Porsche isn't worth a light if he can't be bothered to learn the first thing about them. The man's a tw@t.

I didn't rate the GTPP article and unfortunately 911&PW is much better. Granted 911&PW has more pictures and more words but it doesn't realy say any more.

It is a great shame as Andrews car deserves a lot more. Pitty they didn't send an enthusiast rather than a hack.

Notice how Mr Raby has to conceed that the car is powerfull even after disputing the RR claims by 10%. He doesn't consider that the RR could equally be reading under by 10%.
