After last year's event which was really well supported by R18, I have been asked by Brendan Daly to help promote awareness of the event again this year.

Whilst I can't promise the good weather we enjoyed last year, I can promise a good time and it will be nice to have something to look forward to.

There is a thread on the forum here:

Booking will be through PCGB and I will update the thread with more information in due course.

For those wishing to make a weekend of it, the track day will take place on Saturday 17th May, the day before Porsches on the Prom in Llandudno on Sunday 18th May.

Anglesey circuit is a wonderful location and a great opportunity to drive your car as its maker intended, free from the risk of speed cameras and oncoming traffic (all being well, Colin).

For anyone who has not done a track day before or who still considers themselves to be a novice, there is no safer environment than a PCGB track day where you will be amongst friends and fellow enthusiasts.

If you want to feel alive - try driving from Church bend to Rocket without lifting - []

It would be great to see of many of us there as possible.

Livin' the Dream.

Sponsored by Team Mangetout, Wilson Design and Century Health Care.

Agreed......an excellent weekend all round. If youre new to that neck of the woods then take the opportunity to do the evo triangle on the way in too.

I will be looking for tyre sponsership this year however......[:D] [;)]

A great day, famous track, stunning views and a must for all piston heads just ask 5th Gear! The Evo triangle on route also a Mecca of epic roads, for great cars & great photos .... Also the odd sheep stood in the road [&:] no comments please Jezza!

See for yourself at:

Nice link.

The sheep on the Evo Triangle clearly have suicidal tendencies. Fortunately, the ABS fitted to the Spyder works just fine...

I'll be up for this. Been a few years since I've been to Anglesey, so it's time to go back.

I've booked to stay at Llandudno on the Saturday night so will come and watch you boys ragging the cars round the track first then do the Porsche on the Proms on the Sunday [:)]

Thanks for the information. I have been completely wrong footed over the date. I did not get to the track day last year, but we have been ' on the Prom' for the last two.
I was convinced that it was the weekend of the 27th April, but looking back my diary, has just predicted the following years event.
There is good news and bad new for us. The bad news is that we are away on holiday the Prom Weekend, the good news is we are going to Sicily and I will have to restrict myself to laps of the Targa Florio course in a hire car, unfortunately it will not be a 908/3 !!!

The last time you lot went out you got 5 points and a ÂŁ350 fine....its not a badge of honour you know

quote of the year from the legendary Mrs.K [:D][;)]

Hopefully I will be in attendance but not driving on track. Yet to decide whether to go there and back on the day, go down the day before or make a long weekend of it and go to the Prom the day after. Decisions, decisions, decisions.

Cheers,

It's a bit boring just watching. Book that Boxster on for half a day, much more fun.

Zeb - MrsK is clearly wrong - I managed that all by myself!

Unfortunately Rob I don't have the same tyre deal that Zeb has with Kwik-Fit! [:D]

Cheers,

My Boxster has done track days at Oulton Park x 4, Anglesey x 1 and a bit of a blast round that infield circuit at Silverstone. At 20200 miles, it is still on its original front tyres (Bridgestones) and they are still fine. Rears were replaced at 16000 miles which is almost twice what I used to get out of rear Michelins on my 911.

Drive as hard or as soft as you like, it's still good fun. It's not a race and there is so much track space available you won't be holding anyone up. Fuel economy might take a dip but the cars are built for a bit of exercise.

True.....not a race

heres some footage Jamie Wilson sent us from Rob & I's last few laps at oulton.......[;)]
