Hi All,

Just a quick note to say that my wife Louise gave birth to a healthy baby girl in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Sydney Jane Alderman came in at 7lbs 11ozs with a full head of dark thick hair just like her proud dad.

Louise is fine and I will be submitting a recommendation to be included on the next honours list for an OBE!

Hopefully all three of us will see you soon at a club meet, I have my porsche baby seat ready and waiting!

Congratulations!

Sydney - Cool name. Any particular reason behind it? Holiday in Ozz? [;)]

A daughter aye, now your troubles have started. If she ends up looking anything like her mother you'll be beating the boys away from the door with a pick axe handle. You should have a good 16 years to get in shape first though.

Had any sleep yet?

Without doubt the best thing about people having kids is it gives those of us so aflicted a chance to gloat, knowing that someone else is going to suffer in the same way we do. [:D]

Congrats Joel - Love the name, enjoy the experience, remember sometimes a quick drive helps to get little one's off to sleep

So true. Used to be the only thing that would send me to sleep - dad driving me round the neighbourhood at 3am! [:D]

Congratulations to you both on your new arrival. Matches for holding up heavy eyelids are in the post! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Thanks for the congrats all. Sydney had nothing to do with Aus but just though it was a nice, classy uncommon name.

I now have 3 females in my house, including the cat, and they are all noisy!
