Annoying Clicking from Footwell

Evening all.

Just a quick question, not sure if this is a common thing. Bought my 2005 987 S in March this year. Pretty much since day one there has been a ticking/clicking/popping type sound from behind the dash/glovebox in the passenger footwell. It's clearly linked to the heater fan in some way as the only time it stops is if you turn the climate control completely off.

Its still under warranty through Porsche until March. My local OPC has had a look at it twice and can find no fault. I don't want to seem like a moaner and ask them to look a third time but its beginning to drive me mad!

Any ideas what might be causing it?

Thanks in advance and a Happy New Year to you all. Here's to a 2010 thats 24C and sunny every day!

This could be the thermostat that controlls the air conditioning matrix, this prevents ice build up over the matrix,
Try turning the air con off and running the heater fan to see if the click has stopped.
Then turn the air con to its lowest setting to see if the frequency of clicking has reduced, it sounds like you have moderate settings on the air con and the anti freeze cycle is cutting in and out.
All systems do this but i must admit i dont hear mine do it - but that could just be i am used to it
