Annoying Door Rattle

The drivers door on my 997 has a really annoying rattle at motorway speeds, a bit of a problem as my 120 mile commute is mostly on the motorway! My local OPC were asked to look at it at it's last service, and cured it for a short period, but it is back with vengence and driving me insane! (no punn intended) I can't take the car back to the OPC as my warranty has now expired and the extended one doesn't cover rattles.

So my question is does anyone have any experience of taking off the door card, and has anyone here suffered a similar complaint which they have successfully cured?

Any pointers would be gratefully received before I resort in ear plugs / punching the door card / general swearing ranting etc....... to relieve the stress

When was the last service. If it was recently, you might have a good argument that the OPC did not cure it properly and that they should do the work again without payment until they get it right.

Worth a try, IMHO.
