I have now been a PCGB member for the past two years, and have received 24 editions of Porsche Post.

In that time the following road/race sports cars have appeared on the front covers. (Not including balloons or widespread group shots.

4 x 356 including an Arbarth Carrera
7½ x 911s, SCs & 3.2 Carrera
1 x 914
0 x 924
0 x 928
0 x 944
0 x 968[]
0 x 964
1 x 993
4 x 996
1 x Boxster, although several appear on the Eynsham cover

Draw your own conclusions, the best? For my money - March "˜03

I think they are all great, and anyway it's the content that's really important, and other than the 4x4 SUV articles, the mags been quite good recently.

My personal choice cover shot would show a 964 RS in maritime blue chasing a 968 Turbo S in Speed Yellow "" on track of course.[:D]

John "" If you're awarding anoraks, I would prefer a silver space suit with matching helmet.[8D]

I have a friend who cuts out the road tests in Autocar, and then files them in order of acceleration and top speed figures. He considers an anorak too stylish ... clashes with his bri-nylon shirts.[]

In fact, a mutual friend has even dedicated a web page to this chap, which has become something of a standing joke on rennlist. [;)] Try this ... http://www.boggianos.com/blueshadow2.html

Sir Rocco, not only do you get this weeks 968 anorak award, but I think I should introduce you to the above mentioned chap. I think you'd get on well. [:D]

To be fair there was a request on the Titanic 944 list a few months ago for photographs of non-911's in unusual colours (not red, black or white I guess) for the cover of Porsche Post.

The requirement was for quite hi-res digital stills I considered borrowing a colleagues digital SLR and going to Dartmoor to take some (which means it was June or earlier as I left that job/colleague in June) but didn't get round to it.

I know someone who has a lot of old anoraks, you may be needing a few at this rate -- what are you prepared to pay!!!

Mike, do you have any pics of your car you could share with us?

I ain't never seen one of them cabri-o-lays in Maritime Blue, and I'm betting she's real purdy!

Proof indeed that Alex has been mixing a bit too much with the locals on 968.net
Bet he's got Garth Brooks in his car cd player too!

Yup - coming next, chewing tobacco and a 'Don't Mess With Texas' bumper sticker [:)]
