Be fair , I havn't posted one for months [:D]

This car by the way is a 944 NOT a 924 but apparently it has an Audi engine ( and an 'S' badge ).

" Hi All If you want a pic of the engine bay then send me your email, this is the more reliable Audi engine and the car has been badges as an "S". I had it serviced and repaired by Autostrasse in Coggeshall who advised this engine is less likely to go wrong than the "S" Good luck all "

The funniest thing re the ad is that if he had it serviced and was told by Autostrasse ( quite a long time ago)it wasn't an 'S' why in the last sale attempt ( in April 2011) was it up for sale as a genuine 'S'
( until we all noticed it wasnt).
If I didn't know better I'd think there was an admission in there somewhere ?

The car has now been relisted " due to a timewaster" , maybe a timewaster who expected an 'S' to be an 'S' but I couldnt say as it wasn't me [8|]

So if anyone is looking for a cheap reliable 944 with the engine from an Audi !

The 'fact' that the 944 has an audi engine is something I keep coming across when talking to people. I was talking to a car mechanic last month who was totally convinced that the 944 had an audi engine. It took quite a while to convince him otherwise. I'm not sure if he believed me in the end to be honest!

At the risk of being a pariah.....i'd say that the VW van engine would be more reliable that the 2.5 Porsche engine. Obviously that's not the issue here, but i am aware that the 2.5 engine is known for eating its own piston rings.

When i was shopping for a 924 i was looking for a car with a good shell, the first one to come along was an S but i was quietly hoping for a 2.0l.

They both have their plus points, but this guy is obviously try to sugar the ad and hope to snag a buyer with no idea, not going to happen in the modern day with everyone sitting with internet access!

Strange that someone has gone to the trouble of have the log book changed, but they don't show the engine size on the book.....
